Kirby and the Forgotten Land has some of the most epic bosses I’ve ever played, and that’s really saying something. So why not rank them? For the fourth part of the Kirby and the Forgotten Land Post-Week at Ryan’s Fortress, I’ll be ranking every main boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. When I say main bosses, that means I won’t be including mid-bosses such as Wild Bonkers or Fluerina. So with all that out of the way, let’s get started.

#9: Sillydillo
This boss of the Originull Wasteland might be the most forgettable, in my opinion. Sillydillo’s easy and predictable attacks make for a weak boss battle. Plus, one of his attacks of running into you from far away seemed very difficult to avoid. If you were just a bit too close, you’re getting hit by the attack. The only good thing I can say is the battlefield. It looks really nice; but that doesn’t do much justice for the boss that fights on it.

#8: Clawroline
Another forgettable boss with easy and predictable attacks. Clawroline is a cheetah that attacks by throwing claws at you and pouncing down from above. It’s very easy to avoid these attacks, and she gives you more than enough time when not attacking to pounce at her. The lack of difficulty, avoidable and foreseeable attacks, and given time to attack at her make Clawroline’s battle a very mediocre one.

#7: Tropic Woods
Whispy Woods is back as Tropic Woods, a giant tree (now in 3D) who attacks by shooting wind at you and blocking part of the way for you to just run around and pounce. I was very disappointed with Tropic Woods’ fight, as he had simple and predictables ways of attacking, and since he’s a tree, he doesn’t move around and can’t pounce at you. And when he brings up metal fences to block you from him, you can just run around it and carefully avoid an incoming gust of wind to get a close-range attack at him. Tropic woods was probably the easiest boss fight in Forgotten Land in my opinion.

#6: Fecto Elfilis
Honestly, this boss was very underwhelming for what was the end of the game (at least the first part). Fecto Elfilin isn’t even that difficult. Attacks from high up then pounce at you, simple attacks on ground, and various points in which you can just run up for a close-range attack (which was helpful to me since I usually used sword in boss fights). This makes the boss fight way too easy, especially for what’s supposed to be the final boss.

#5: Fecto Forgo
This hardly counts as a boss, nor does it count as a fight. A weird, pink, gooey mixture of bosses and enemies follow you down a small but long hallway and you have to carefully attack so it doesn’t start moving again and hurt you. It’s only attack is near the end in which it throws easily-avoidable spits of goo to hit you. That’s it. You’ll get through this fight quicker than you think.

#4: Leongar
Honestly, I kind of liked Leongar’s battle. I think he put up a good enough fight. This lion has some hard attacks to avoid, but nothing to sweat over. Leongar was cool to fight, despite having some easier attacks. But toward the end when he gets fire in his eyes, you can feel the energy of the battle getting tenser.

#3: King Dedede (Both Fights)
The King himself from across the Kirby series is back in Forgotten Land. Dedede has a fun and engaging fight with some hard attacks but mostly painless. It’s not too hard to beat him either time you encounter him in the main story: Winter Horns and Redgar Forbidden Lands. Both fights are the perfect difficulty in which times you encounter them and, of course like always, Dedede puts one great fight.

#2: Meta Knight
Once the Waddle Dee Town Colosseum opens, you can compete in the Meta Knight cup, in which you first fight a few past bosses and then get to Meta Knight himself. The swordsman attacks with his sword and flying in to pounce as his main attacks. He doesn’t leave much time for you to run up for a close-range attack, so you really need to make what you have count. Meta Knight puts up one good fight, and you even unlock the Meta Knight Sword blueprint for beating him.

#1: Gorimondo
The game’s first boss might not be the hardest boss and have the most predictable attacks, but he’s such a fun boss to fight. When you encounter him, he grabs you through a window of the mall. His attacks are trying to grab you quickly, spinning around until he gets dizzy, and ripping up parts of the ground to throw at you. He does give plenty of time to attack in which you can finish this fight in just a couple minutes. He might not be the hardest, but that doesn’t mean he’s not the best.
