With Loki Season 2 coming later this year, I thought it would be fun to rank the 8 live action Marvel series on Disney+. This list will only include the Disney+ original series part of the MCU, so shows like Agents of Shield or any of the Netflix series like Daredevil will be included. And with that, let’s begin.

#8: She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
I have absolutely no idea what this show actually wanted to achieve. I enjoyed the first episode, as the communication between Jennifer Walters and Bruce Banner was humorous to me. But then, everything crashed in the absolute worst way possible. The story went in a completely different direction, showing Walters navigate life at a Hulk while I guess stopping a villain in the middle of that? The show gets super stupid all throughout, and even bringing in Daredevil couldn’t fix that. To be honest, it made it weirder. And plus, that finale? What in the absolute world was that?

#7: Secret Invasion (2023)
While not nearly as terrible as Secret Invasion, this has to be one of the underwhelming Marvel projects I’ve seen in a while. I was intrigued by the concept of Skrulls secretly taking over the governments of the world to take over the planet, but the story went in many different directions that together didn’t seem to work. The new characters weren’t interesting, and there were way to many plot holes all throughout the series. Plus, like most Marvel shows, the finale wasn’t a great send-off.

#6: Hawkeye (2021)
While it wasn’t particularly bad, it’s definitely one of the most forgettable. However, there are good things about it. Kate Bishop is fun and interesting new character, especially when she meets Yelena, and the story is intriguing. The action scenes were done well and there are very funny moments. Unfortunately, the show just doesn’t have a lot to offer, and for that it’s one I constantly forget about.

#5: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
There’s a lot of good and terrible going on here. While it is definitely more of a ‘Marvel’ show, it still has some plot issues. While the show definitely presents a great lesson with a great introduction of Sam Wilson’s Captain America and fantastic action sequences, there are some flaws. My biggest gripe is the character of John Walker. Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve hated a Marvel character more as he is such an integral part of the story while also being a terrible continuation of the character, and him being on the dumber side makes him a much less interesting character, which definitely brings down my look on the show. However, Zemo dancing probably makes up for that.

#4: Moon Knight (2022)
Moon Knight takes Marvel’s obsession of shows with strange concepts to a whole other level. Moon Knight involves a very odd idea of a series with Steven Grant and Marc Spector somehow become the same person and start solving a mystery involving the Egyptian gods. The show is so weird; one episode the show is in a museum, then it’s in Egypt, then it’s in an asylum, then its in what seems to be in heaven. The show is all over the place, but it still makes for an enjoyable Marvel series.

#3: Ms. Marvel (2022)
Ms. Marvel definitely takes a much different direction than any other Marvel series before it. The show dives into a much deeper story involving the characters and their families, including a look into Kamala Khan and her family’s religious background, and much more. It’s fun to see a show with a character who’s a fan of Marvel superheroes, too. The show is definitely a fun and unique watch and makes for a great Marvel TV show.

#2: WandaVision (2021)
The beginning of the weirdness, as I’d like to call it. Watching WandaVision has it came out was very interesting, as the show begins with making us ask loads of questions, before slowly answering them all throughout the second half of the show. It starts strange, with the first two episodes seeming like old sitcoms from the mid-1900’s, starring Wanda and Vision. But then, the show takes off, revealing what’s actually happening episode by episode. Unfortunately the finale wasn’t as good as I had hoped for, and the first couple episodes aren’t very interesting, but as a whole the show is fantastic.

#1: Loki (2021)
Everyone loves Loki, right? Well, Marvel being Marvel decided to get weird and present Loki in his own series – but in a crime-thriller. While an odd mix, the result speaks for itself. Loki finds himself in the TVA, and place in the universe run by the Timekeepers that controls over all of time. Throughout the show, Loki finds himself in many different problems, as most of the TVA want him dead, he meets a female version of himself, and from then on chaos ensues episode to episode. Every episode is interesting, answering questions while also making us ask more as Loki disovers his true fate and learns to be a better person. The show is fantastic, and my personal favorite from Marvel.
